She's already part of the family and they can't wait to meet her. There was something that pulled at my heart with this particular shoot. I went in thinking that I would be photographing a maternity session of a growing family - already with one child and another one on the way. When I went into the lab to start my edits I couldn't help but notice a different story unfolding as I culled through the images. I began to see a story being told by a big brother regarding his family - the love for his parents and the anticipation of his new baby sister. The role they'll play and the role he'll play. There's always a high level of excitement from the parents' perspective but what if we could tell this story through the eyes of the children. So here it is, a story of a boy about to become a big brother and the voice of his little sister heard in the accompanying song.
