Spent a lovely afternoon shooting an engagement session for Ashley and Jake. It was awesome to hear their love story - where they've been, how they found each other, and what lies ahead. They really brought a quiet and beautiful meaning to the word engaged. We shot some family photographs during the second half of their shoot. Congrats Ashley and Jake on your upcoming wedding!

Our family - hands down it's everything we fight for. Blood, sweat, and tears. It's the smiles on our children's faces that make it worth it all. And it's our faith that binds us together. It's when the lessons from our past create a beautiful present - a more perfect union.

A promise. An impenetrable bond. Where one leads, one will follow. Cut from the same cloth yet each has their own voice. There's just something between two sisters that can't be explained. 

We boarded a cruise ship to the Bahamas. The Bermuda Triangle messed with our time and space (long story). We shot a wedding to remember. Here's a glimpse from Ryan and Tina's first look

A couple summers ago I had a chance to see parts of Europe and the Mediterranean for the first time. It was an unforgettable and often breathtaking experience. You could feel the history beneath your feet as you walked through the streets.

Did you know Florence was where the tale of Pinnochio was first told? Nice and Monaco were places I've only seen in James Bond movies. And in Pisa, yes the tower really does lean. It actually leans a little more and more with each passing year. The stunning Isle of Capri was more like that one island you wouldn't mind being stranded on. I'm sure Tom Hanks and his buddy Wilson wouldn't mind the limoncello that this place is known for. Whatever your faith, a visit to Rome and Vatican City will clearly leave you with your faith reaffirmed and a stronger idea that there really is a higher power. We took a trip to one of the farthest places history could see - the ancient city of Ephesus in Kusadasi, Turkey. The original birthplace of the Nike Swoosh logo was interesting but stories of the ancient civilization that lived there will captivate you even more. And last but definitely not least, the otherworldly Greek island of Santorini. The mythical Village of Oia along with the blue domed churches that grace the island left me breathless and on many occasions speechless. I wanted to let my eyes soak in its radiance. Catch a sunset here and you'll never see a more beautiful picture.

Speaking of pictures, I brought my camera along for the ride and snapped a few photographs along the way.

If you've never been to these places before I tried my best to capture them in a way my mind's eye would remember them. And if you've had the opportunity to see these places with your own eyes I think you'll agree when I say that "I can't wait to go back!"

 

There's something to be said about the radiance and shine of a first time mother-to-be. It's not the glow of her skin but the look in her eyes that resonate with nervous anticipation, pride, and joy all at the same time. There's an honest beauty that captivates you. It's the realization of what really matters in this life, the role she will play, and the lessons she will teach. It's everything she stands for.
